This is a really fun book to read to a younger child. The poetic pentameter works very well, almost as well as Dr Seuss, and the emphasis can be placed on different words with each reading. This is a lesson on eating your dinner and what could happen if you don't. The drawings are very large and very colorful. The only down part of the story is that I thought the ending could have been made clearer. It is a little unclear about the good ending and the boy understanding the benefits of eating his food and the changes that took place with his decision.

I read this book too, when I was looking for a publisher for mine. Did you notice the back cover? He says he doesn't particularly care for witches and his wife is dressed as one. hmmm wonder if he got in trouble for that one. LOL
