Twisted Vengeance by Jeff Bennington

20412470

Rick is a police detective investigating some murders of individuals who have died in horrendous ways, with no evidence to be found about the person who may have committed the crimes. He has help from the police force and also, his brother's widow, Stella.

He is in love with Stella, but had made a promise to his dead brother, Roger, about not getting involved with her.

There is a common thread to the deaths, all the victims were men that used violence with the women in their lives. This is brought to Rick's attention by a young boy, Benji, who keeps seeking him out and leading him to more murders.

This book was such a mish- mash of different genre's, almost like the author was trying to make the most of them without really doing so.
