Conquering Darkness: Memoir of the Serial Killer's Wife by Allice M. Swafford & Crystal Choyce-Lige

Conquering Darkness Memoir of the Serial Killer's Wife Alice Swafford and William Jennings Choyce grew up together, with William being a little older and a friend of Alice's brother. William was a very discreet, quiet boy/man and never seemed to draw too much attention to himself.

They married and bought a home and had a daughter, Crystal. William always was a little distant with some weird and strange tastes and incidents, from asking Alice to wear handcuffs to going out at night with a gun. There were instances of drug dealing from the home, William's obsession with prostitutes, X-rated movies, etc.

Alice was devastated upon learning that her ex-husband had been arrested for several rapes and murders in the neighborhood that they had grown up in. I give big kudos to her for telling her story, as it might very well have been forgotten because of her husband's violent history.
